Trees increase property value: well-maintained trees increase “curb appeal” of properties. The Banana Trees are already growing and are very healthy. The upright panicles of red flowers may be 3 to 6 inches long and are quite attractive in late April or early May. The canopy quickly spreads across a small yard, blocking the light, while the roots use up all available soil space. However, wet low areas should be avoided. With these things properly done, there are probably many species that can be grown in the home environment.
